Pinoys are really fond of dipping their food in different kinds of sauces. Be it fried, boiled, or stewed, every Pinoy food has its perfect sauce partner, which helps it become more flavorful.

Most Peri-Peri chicken restaurants have hot sauce as their highlight. In Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken, they give their Peri-Peri Chicken a unique edge by offering their signature dippings and sauce to enhance the flavor. And, guess what? They don’t just have one sauce for their signature chicken, but eight different kinds of Peri-Peri sauce! Customers have the option to choose three of their sauces.

THOUGHTS BEFORE TRYINGPeri Peri Charcoal Chicken

Peri-Peri Chicken in itself is already flavorful. It is a butterflied chicken marinated in different herbs and spices and is grilled into perfection. We’re afraid the sauces might overpower these flavors, or they might not suit our palate and end up ruining the dish.

THE SAUCES

Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken has eight sauces, all ranging from sweet, to tangy to spicy. Warning: chicken puns ahead

  1. Fowl-mouthed Chili Peppa’
  2. Ka Tuka’s Honey Pinakurat
  3. Apachee’kn Mesquite BBQ
  4. Poulet Vous Cajun Remoulade
  5. Tokyo Tori’s Sweet Soy
  6. Sheik Chic’s Harissa Exotica
  7. Count Cluckula’s Garlic Brew
  8. Hen Dynasty’s Hoisin Sesame

THE MOMENT OF TRUTH

Actually, they were all great! The sauces did not steal the spotlight from the chicken and they suited its flavors, as well. If you love your food spicy, you must try the Foul-mouthed Chili Peppa’ or the Count Cluckula Galrci Brew. For a more Pinoy taste, better choose te Ka Tuka’s Honey Pinakurat, which is their take on the Filipino spiced vinegar. The Tokyo Tori’s Sweet Soy is perfect if you want to taste something sweet.
