You better check this newly-developed Lakawon Island Beach Resort in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental. This private-owned island is a 13-hectare, banana-shaped located along the Guimaras Strait. Apparently, Lakawon Island Resort is the new beach destination because of its gorgeous white sand. It is a perfect place to unwind and to forget about the hustle and bustle of the city life.

You can go to the Island Resort from Bacolod via an one-hour car ride, or via buses in Ceres Liner north terminal, where the fare for a non-stop bus is P80. After alighting on Cadiz City, you can take a tricycle for about P20 to take you to the port. From the port of Barangay Cadiz Viejo in Cadiz City, boat rides to Lakawon Island are provided by the management. A roundtrip pump boat to the island costs P150 per person with a terminal fee of P20. Entrance to the resort is at P100 per person, but children below four years old are free of charge.
If you’re planning for a day tour only, Lakawon Island offers accommodations like umbrella huts and family cottages. However, if you’re planning to stay overnight, bamboo houses are available. Tent spaces and canopy tents are also offered Lakawon Island Resort Cadiz City.

Lakawon Island has its own bar and restaurant, but if you prefer to bring your own food, the resort will charge you for corkage. The cottages also have a kitchen so you can just cook your own.

Go aboard the TawHai Floating Bar
One of the Lakawon Island attractions is the TawHai Floating Bar, which just opened last May. According to its management, it is the biggest floating bar in Asia and it is a first in Negros. An entrance fee of P200 per person will be charged.
Swim by its white-sand beach
Dubbed as the Boracay of Negros, Lakawon Island Resort boasts of its pristine white beach and its clear waters. Make sure to swim in this picture-perfect island.

Massage therapists are available on the island, which you can definitely complete the whole R&R experience.
